Carina Waye

Best known as the co-host and segment producer of the national Australian TV show Couch Time, Carina also starred in the Watch This productions of Company (April) and A Little Night Music (Ann) and toured nationally and internationally with Scooby-Doo Live and Peppa Pig Live. Carina produced sell-out seasons of The Importance of Being Earnest at the famed Como House and Nude at Chapel off Chapel - a one-woman show she also starred in.

For two seasons, Carina hosted and co-produced the Channel 31 TV show Behind The Words and has appeared regularly at the TV Week Logie Awards as a red carpet interviewer.

In 2019, Carina was company manager on the US production Ajijaak on Turtle Island. A puppet spectacle produced by Heather Henson and featuring puppets from the Jim Henson workshop which played at The New Victory Theater in New York and The Chicago International Puppet Festival. 

As Head of Operations for Artists Who Code, Carina has helped open doors for artists and women breaking into tech, leading panel discussions including “Hired In a Pandemic” and General Assembly’s “How She Got There”

Carina trained in intimacy direction and choreography with Intimacy Directors International and Theatrical Intimacy Education and is passionate about mentoring young people and educating them on best practices surrounding consent. She is committed to providing resources and support to promote mental health and equality within the theater industry.

Carina received her training from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA.)
